On Monday 22nd February 2021, I got a notification on my Gmail, telling me that I got 65K IDR (about 4.5 USD) worth of Google Credit, from Google! I’m sorta expecting and not expecting any benefit from Google One. What I expect is something like an e-commerce voucher, discounted paid apps, or something like extra Google Drive storage. But no, it’s as simple as Google Credit!
It may be not much, but it’s very honest in my opinion. For example, a month of Spotify premium is 50K IDR, 5 Disney children’s books also worth 50K IDR, and many more choices available in Google Play. Its T&C also doesn’t state on which service I could go. That probably means that this credit can be used on everything I could pay with Google Payments.
Another benefit that comes with Google One today is an extra photo editing feature for Google Photos which pretty neat because now I have a dynamic photo filter. And most of the important benefit is that my Google profile picture now has a colored circle around it 😀
